FIFA Football/Soccer Laws/Rules question - ejecting managers

According to the FIFA Laws (rules) I downloaded,

“Only a player, substitute or substitued player may be shown the red or yellow card.”

Can managers not be red carded also (for, say, excessive arguing with the ref)?

I’m certifying this weekend!

A manager (or other team personnel) may be dismissed from the game, but they are not shown the red card.

Thanks, and good luck!

During a Euro 2008 group stage match between Germany and Austria, Joachim Loew and Josef Hickersperger were simultaneously sent off for “constant bickering” with the fourth official. Loew wound up watching in the stands with Angela Merkel. It was highly amusing.

Law 5, under Powers and Duties of the Referee:

“(The Referee) takes action against team officials who fail to conduct themselves in a responsible manner and may, at his discretion, expel them from the field of play and its immediate surrounds.”
