I haven’t seen them but that’s the way to bet.
Good news. Population of Cape Verde recently surpassed half a mil!
Good save, but I think more could have been done with that header.
This match is as dull as the ARG CPV was entertaining. Ghana needs to up its game in the next ten minutes
In theory a player can receive a yelliw card for an egregious flop, but it rarely seems to happen
Next time I get fouled I’ll just roll back and forth on the ground and clutch my mouth even though no contact was made there.
Embarrassing. Should’ve been carded for simulation.
Colombia through 1-0.
Canada and (the most likely quite victorious) Morocco tomorrow morn at 10.
Beer?
Too wierd - I don’t think I’ve ever drank that early - same with dabs. (did wake n’bakes when I was kid - gross now)
See how I feel at half time.
Deranged hopes that it goes to a shoot-out as I pre-jinx Morocco. Buchanan, kicking last, will score for the W. ![]()
Woke up and watched the highlights of the Argentina-Cape Verde match on my phone with earphones in. Nearly woke my partner up trying desperately not to shout out loud when that second equaliser went in. Unbelievable goal. In an objective sense but also given the context, one of the best goals I’ve ever seen. Absolutely gutted for Cape Verde. Argentina just seem to be one of those teams who can grind out results even if they are not playing well (I assume it was below par - always hard to tell from highlights).
Anyone else seen that Mexico-England is likely to move due to ‘adverse weather conditions’ (translation: FIFA want higher European viewing figures)? I mean, that would be great for me because there’s no way I’m staying up for a match scheduled at 1am on a Monday morning, but it’s not so good for England’s players, who already have to deal with being unacclimatised to the altitude, but now also will need to deal with more heat. And what about the fans who might not even be able to get to the match on time? Especially if they’ve forked out a reported £25k (!!) on the resale market.
Moving to a different venue would be impossible for the people holding tickets.
Sorry I mean move kick off time
Ok, apparently it is back to what it was, so a 1am kick off time in the UK. What a farce.
It’ll be coffee for me. It’ll be an afternoon of beer at the horse race track, so the safest thing for morning soccer at home is coffee.
1pm here. It’s a big country.
Anyone know about this?
Honest question: have there been any ‘sparsely attended’ games? It’s virtually impossible to tell from the television broadcasts. And this site has a week-old article that shows the attendance for games through June 28, and all the figures show at least 97% of capacity.
(My quick Google search didn’t find any more recent attendance listings. Perhaps somebody else will have better luck than I.)
I do wish Canada was better with corner kicks.
Dominant first 20 minutes by Canada. Just hope they score before they run out of steam.
Referees should make players wear tutus for being Prima Ballerinas.
