In the first 10 minutes France made 56 passes in their final third vs 0 for Paraguay. Damn.
In the limited amount I have seen France play, they do look like they are on a different level.
Tied on xG after half an hour, 0.05 each. Paraguay shutting down good chances but have to imagine it won’t last.

I think it kinda sucks that Canada was supposed to be a host nation but didn’t get to play all their games at home.
I’m watching this game with French people and they are getting saltier as the game remains scoreless…
They did play all three Group games in Canada.
Had they won the group they would have played another game in Canada. Had they won that game, they would have played yet another game in Canada. So potentially five games in their home country.
But the schedule probably could have been tweaked to ensure that, if they finished first OR second in the Group, they would have played in their home country.
That knee on knee looks painful.
