Of course he is, for a few years now, and he really has become an important player for Gladbach. I’m torn, if he plays well at this WC, it will attract the interest of bigger clubs, but OTOH I don’t want him to look bad. I think I just heard the announcers say that the yellow card count is reset after the group stage. If the US can hold on and win this one, then it shouldn’t be an issue.

No, if Turkey beats both Paraguay and the USA Turkey will win the group. That’s the only other possibility.
Correction: if that happens AND Australia beats Paraguay it will be a 3 way tie and right now the USA looks pretty good based on goal differential, but that could theoretically change.

I was actually rooting for the 6-6-6-0 outcome going into the last match of the group F of the 2018 WC, if only to see Mexico go home after the group stage despite picking up six points.
