I think the significant majority of large stadiums in the US don’t have a roof.
And that’s what’s puzzling me. I don’t mean a roof for the pitch and the players, but for the spectators.
For spectators it’d be more common. Is it really that odd though?
Well, only about a third of the stadium is roofed, most European football stadiums are covered much better.

Why is everyone incapable of pronouncing Haaland’s name correctly?
I have zero clue. How is it said? Is the Norway guy who, at one point, gave funny interviews?
The closest in English is something like “hoe-lawn”. But all the English speaking commentators/analysts say it like Holland.
The same thing happened to the Wranå siblings on Sweden’s curling team. Å and “aa” are pronounced like “oh” in both Swedish and Norwegian, not “ah”.

He seems to have adapted his own name to the “English” pronunciation (in that video he notes that in Norway his first name was closer to “ah-ling” but he pronounced it “er-ling”). Probably to avoid confusing people. I think people should just figure it out. It’s not that hard.
And even a two hours half time break can’t keep Mbpappé from scoring.
And Iraq with perhaps the worst giveaway goal of the tournament thus far.
Yeah, there have been some own goals, but this was worse.
More likely Messi or Mbappe end the tournament with the record?
Annoyed once again couldn’t get this game but just now tuned into Norway vs. Senegal. Hopefully Haaland will pull some entertaining magic.

Right now, Messi is in the lead by three goals, and there’s a strong probability that France will play Germany in the round of 16 , so maybe Mbpappé won’t make it far enough into the tournament to grab the record. But of course that’s only idle speculation, we also don’t know how far Argentina will go.
