Wish I could pick it up.
Heh, well, during this halftime break, that is. ![]()
And thousands of Swiss chocalatiers die suddenly of apoplexy.
Apparently Bosnia winning would nearly guarantee them as the US opponents in the R32. I’d be reasonably happy with that.
darnit
EDIT: coulda been better marking.
Crap.
I’m rooting for Switzerland because of Toblerone. And Tina Turner.
Switzerland – Canada feels like a Bundesliga reunion match.
Also…
Wow, some defense issues. 2-0. ![]()
Should that have been a yellow?
Hear me out here. Single elimination bracket, golden goal. It’ll be fun, like picking a March Madness bracket.
So, microphones and nervous system monitoring? Those are the things FIFA need to bring in.
Right on. Halving the score. Keep goin.
That header shoulda gone in? He had someone on him, but still?
Canada played well for the last twenty minutes. Unfortunately, they had to be down two goals before rallying, scoring one, then getting plenty of decent chances to pull ahead.
A goal in every game. Some good goaltending by the MLS MVP who plays in Miami. Round of 32. By Canadian standards, this is fairly impressive.
According to ESPN, Canada will play in Los Angeles (SoFi) Stadium at noon local time on Sunday the 28th, against the Group A second-place team, which will be determined tonight. South Korea, with a win or draw tonight, will clinch second in Group A.
Scotland will probably not be too unhappy to only lose by a goal here. Would love to see them going through and continuing the party.
…and continuing to deplete the beer resources of whatever host town they’re in - today, Miami.
If they get second place in the group with a draw here they would probably find themselves in Mexico City next. Scots and tequila would be an interesting situation.
My goodness Scotland serves up a really bad defensive blunder for Brazil’s first goal.
I don’t think they can advance with a loss, unless they get a lot of help. They can advance for certain with a win, and will probably advance with a draw, although that’s not a certainty at this point.
