Well played Ecuador. Germany were outplayed in the second half, though they didn’t really have anything to play for.
There’s nothing in it for Germany since they will advance either way. Clearly they weren’t putting in their best effort. Sucks for the fans who had to sell their soul to get tickets.
What an exciting win for Ecuador. I missed their 1st goal but the 2nd was spectacular.
Regardless of Germany’s level of effort that win will become football folklore in Ecuador.
People were predicting another 7-1 after Germany’s goal, I decided to ingnore the game and just play Civilization, and now I check and they won!?

I’d be happier except that this will surely not be good for EinsteinsHund and his nerves, I know that if we lose against Jordan, even if still getting top of the group I’d be even more nervous in the following games 
I’m just surprised that’s not Peter Schickele. Seems like something he would have done.
Yeah, I’m a bit pissed and worried, but OTOH in WCs we won, we often had those games in the group stage, 1974 a 0-1 against GDR, which was a disgrace and a national disaster (of course foremost because it was so politically loaded). And in 1954, we lost to Hungary freaking 3-8 in the second round, and Sepp Herberger got roasted after this game, only for us to make it to the final and beat them 3-2 when it really counted. So I still have some hopes.
