Although the article doesn’t mention it, there is another website I visit that has a member who was one of the chief mechanics that helped restore this plane. It was a P-51 Mustang that was part of the “Red Tails” better known as the 332nd All Black fighter group of WWII. It was also one of their last remaining fighters still in flying condition. The plane was listed as a total loss, and my utmost prayers go out to the pilot who was also listed in critical condition.
