During the thread, a straight doper showed how easy it is to access pornographic images. The doper performed a Google search to reach Kazaa, then once on Kazaa searched for Tom DeLay. Hundreds of downloadable porn files then appeared on the screen.

Earthling it just says “Hundreds of downloadable files then appeared on the screen.” Not “Hundred of porn films and nudie pix then appeared on the screen” Although I am sure that at least one or two of the “hundreds” was a revealing image of Ms. Spears.
The fact that anybody needs to be told that porn is on Kazaa boggles the mind…if copyrights are disregarded, why would anyone pay any attention to age limits? Next thing you know, someone’s gonna inform Congress that you can get programs off of any P2P server!!! Shock! Gasp!
I have a theory (which has yet to be disproved) that if you type any female name into Kazaa, you will get at least one response, and there will most likely be porn returned. Check it out, in the name of science, of course.
I liked the quote from the Congressman who says he considered himself pretty tech savvy and was shocked to find out about this. Well gee then I guess you aren’t very tech savvy, huh?
Seriously–are there ANY federal elected officials that know anything at all about technology or the internet besides what lobbyists tell them?
I think Politicians who refer to themselves as computer savvy are really saying they use email, and have a spreadsheet program from 1995 they still use.
It’s hilarious that they thought “OK, I have to search for porn. Who do I associate with pornography? That ex-Mousketeer!”
I just think it’s these guy’s fantasies being brought to the surface.
