As we all know most sequels and prequels are absolutely rubbish especially if the first flm was crap eg.blair witch project.and that utter tripe which was the phantom menace.the 1st star wars was brillant but the prequels aren’t even close.
But what are the best sequels? in my opinion the godfather ll, LOTR ll rank up there but what else?

A few people I know say they still prefer Fellowship, having seen all three.
The early James Bond series – DR NO, FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, and GOLDFINGER form a neat, high quality series.
And Bob Hope’s SON OF PALEFACE has it all over the original PALEFACE.

Legally Blonde 2 didn’t quite stick true to the characters of the first movie, but it was, IMO, much better written.
LB1 was a bit of a surprise, I quite liked it. So you’re saying I should check out LB2?
I thought the 3rd part of the Matrix was better than the second part, but then again I thought watching paint dry was better than the 2nd one too. Neither movie was a patch on the first one though so that probably doesn’t count.
2 Fast 2 Furious was, imho, better than the first one. I liked the first one a lot but it was a bit pretentious and conceited.
Toy Story II was at least as good as, if not better than, Toy Story I
Scream 2 was funnier, scarier and generally better than Scream 1.
Aliens was at least as good as Alien. It was a totally different type of movie though (horror vs action) so the comparison isn’t really valid.
I preferred the 2nd Harry Potter movie to the first one, but the were both pretty good.
