Hey, kung fu, the reason I did it that way was because I didn’t know (and still don’t know) of any other way to get it. Please enlighten!
I agree with Balance. Tidus’s Caladbolg was easily the most frustrating ultimate weapon to unlock fully. I had to play roughly an hour each time to get lucky enough to finish the race. Yes, I did say each time because my friends couldn’t even do it so they had me complete the race for them. Though Kimahri’s butterfly catching was very annoying to memorize their pattern. Lulu’s lightening hopping just took patience and eyeballs that don’t dry out.
Any item in the game can be found in the monster arena provided you’ve unlocked the monster to give it to you. The problem with this is you have to pay money to fight a monster who may or may not give you the item. And it only gives you one or two. Very frusting if you’re hoarding Wings of Discovery to get break HP limit.
