This, given their incessent underreporting of the flow rate. Using their calcualtors, 20,000 barrels a day is actually zero.
Well there is a camera right on the leak and you can’t see any oil leaking anymore.
It’s my understanding that this is just temporary, to see if the well can be shut-in in case of a hurricane.
This is a TEMPORARY fix, the relief well and “Bottom Kill” is the way forward here.

Finally capped after almost 3 months and spilling more oil than the Ixtoc I that was leaking for about a year. Yay?
