I’m not sure if this is the place to put this question but I have exhausted all the leads I know of and can’t figure out where else to look. I am looking for a book I read in junior high, about thirty years ago(shudder) The title is The Happy Planet. The story was sci-fi, and followed the lives of two children, descendents of people from Earth, who are taken back there to see if anyone survived the big disaster thousands of years ago. I have looked in the used books sites, crawled every second hand store I come across, and still have no luck. Anyone out there have a lead, or better yet a copy to sell? I don’t need mint condition.

Dear Zette: Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can’t believe I was so stupid as to not think of ebay. I’m there all the time as I collect back issues of The National Geographic Magazine. So after all my searching the hunt was over in a few minutes. I followed your link and saw the book. It even has the cover I remember!!! I sure hope I get it. So far I am the only bidder.

I’ve started collecting items related to “Suzette”, as that’s my name. I’ve found some cool stuff on E-bay. Unfortunately, they’re mostly collectors dolls with very high price tags! But this book is cheap enough, anyway.

Dear Zette: Iwas the only bidder so I will get it for the first bid($2.34) plus s&h. Not bad. I ended up finding a copy offered at$100. Much as I want to read the book again, I don’t want it that bad. By the way, cool birthday. Mine is New Year’s Eve. Mom says my due date was Christmas Day but I wasn’t holy enough for that so God put me on a day more appropriate to my nature. It’s a lot of fun.
