Finding the two verse version of "Bridge over Troubled Water"

Where can I find a recording of the original, two verse version of the song “Bridge over Troubled Water” by Simon & Garfunkel?

The commonly available version has a third verse with a bigger, orchestrated sound. It shifts the whole feel of the song and turns it into more of a love song directed at Peggy Harper. As originally conceived and written the song was a simpler sweeter sort of a folk hymn, or so I read. I much prefer the voice and piano of the first two verses.

Anybody know? I tried looking on iTunes and generally online, but I don’t have much experience searching for music, so maybe I missed something.

Thanks!

Not sure, but there’s an amazing version of the song on the album, Paul Simon in Concert: Live Rhymin’. Garfunkel is absent on that one, however. It’s still my favorite version of the song.

I’m not aware that such a version was ever even recorded. The third verse was added, and the first two altered, prior to the song’s first release in 1970 on the album of the same name, and that’s officially the “original”. If the two-verse version as first written ever saw the light of day, it must have been later, but I’ve never heard of it.
