Finger pickin' songs in drop C-G tuning. Know any?

Tune your bottom E down to C, A down to G. Now you can play:

Never Going Back Again (Fleetwood Mac)
'52 Black Vincent (Richard Thompson)

What else? I need more songs to make the re-tuning worth while.

I think Patti Smith’s* Long Black Limousine* is drop-tuned.

If I remember correctly (it’s been a while), OLGA.com has a separate section of drop-tuned chord/tab selections. It may have been another on-line guitar archive.

I play what I call Cheater’s G - just dropping the A down to G and really only playing the middle four guitar strings, like a tenor guitar or something.

I don’t fingerpick - except for some rockabillly stuff - but Cheater’s G is essential to the Rolling Stones catalogue, like Honky Tonk Woman, Brown Sugar, Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’, etc. I also use it for a ton of other rockers like Tush by ZZ Top, Can’t Get Enough of Your Love by Bad Co., etc…

Again, a bit of a hijack since you are asking about fingerpicking…

olga.com is a ladies underwear site.

And olga.net is currently down with legal issues.

I thought Keith Richards preferred a full open-G tuning?

The official name is C Wahine Tuning. It seems to be especially prevalent in Hawaiian music. This site might be what you need.
