First Class Stamps Going Up 10% on January 27 So Stock Up on Forever Stamps

As stated you can buy postage stamps of all kinds of denominations online:

What you want is the Global Forever stamp at $1.15:

But again there is a $1.50 or so total shipping charge. So if you can estimate how many of what kinds of postage you need in a year it may be worth it to buy online.

We have January birthdays in the family, so I asked Hubster to buy two rolls of 50-cent Forever stamps to give as gifts.

He tried to save some steps and popped in to the privately-owned “Postal Annex” next to the grocery store.

They wanted SEVENTY bucks for a roll of fifty cent stamps! He said, “Kiss my ass,” and went to the “real” post office.

Well in my case it’s one stamp ever so I think my strategy was appropriate.

I bought a bunch. Probably too many.

I’ll bet the fee is more expensive than a stamp.

Typo alert!

Bolding mine. I think you meant UPS.

I think it’s been at least a quarter century since i last used a stamp.

You don’t even have to go to the post office. Office depot sells them at their face value.

So do grocery stores.

And drug stores. And Costco.

Costco (at least my local) only sells a 100 stamp roll.

Then they will last a long time.

Yes, I did mean UPS. Thanks for the correction. I hate the UPS. Recently here they’ve started a policy that if the courier cannot complete the delivery on the first try, the recipient has to pick up the package at a service center. And it’s surprising how often the courier is unable to deliver on the first attempt. :dubious:
Og help you if your package requires a signature.

Snail mail has dropped so severely in Australia we only get it delivered on Mon Wed Fri. Packages from independent couriers can still come any time, though they don’t use stamps much anymore.
