Anyone following this? If Grim Pixie is around, I am feeling a lot happier after lunch than I was at stumps last night.
And what a good bowling combination of Steyn and Morkel.

Oh, dear, how sad, never mind.
RSA now 9 for 83.
And to make everything horrible, my wife is watching The Big Bang Theory while I sulk in the Games Room and listen to the Beach Boys. I want to watch the cricket!
9/83 now don’t try to hide it.
They are 8/34 since lunch.

That’s 6 for 10, with more wickets than scoring shots!
I haven’t seen anything like that since I was coaching Under 10 cricket.
It’s about that sort of level but I saw an even more spectacular collapse a couple of weeks ago in a women’s 1st grade match.
In a 50 over game on a dead wicket and lightning fast outfield UWCC scored 4-346. In reply Gordon were cruising at 2-311 in the 40th over and then lost 8 for just 2 including a hat trick of run outs!
Well, Australia are certainly doing their best to keep South Africa from losing heart- 13/3 at tea.
Cricinfo commentator reckons that a lot of modern batsmen don’t have the patience or technique to stick around when they need to. He’s certainly got some evidence on his side after this session. Is it a nightmare pitch? Demon bowling?
Well, that was the most remarkable session’s play I’ve ever seen (not that I’m watching it, following on Cricinfo) - twelve wickets to fall for less than 60 runs, four of them by the review process - quite something!!
SA 49/1 at lunch, Aus 13/3 at tea!!
And here I am at work, with all the action happening 20min walk away
and two more wickets in the five balls since tea - somebody did something to the pitch at lunchtime that’s for certain!!
Australia 15/5 now…
15/5!
Are they all doing this for a dare?
It’s all fixed - some rich person on the subcontinent has a big bet on
I am …speechless… 6/ 18.
I guess Clarke’s first innings 151 is taking on more significance now.
Shame I can only follow this on Cricinfo, Australia now 21/8.
I just came on here to start a thread on this…no need I see.
RSA bowled out for 96, Australia now 22-9…WTF?
I’ve only just caught this story now though so don’t know too much background to it. Must be a pitch issue yes?
three wickets during my 15 min comute - 28/9 now, Aus avoiding the all-time lowest test score!
Four Innings in One Day. Isn’t that a Crowded House song?
So, Australia recover to post 47 (can’t imagine posting that sentence 5 years ago). South Africa need 236 to win. Very difficult to predict how this one is going to go. Australia have Mitchell Johnson, capable of running through a batting line-up in conditions like this. On the other hand, they have Mitchell Johnson, capable of conceding half the required total in a dozen overs of bowling.
