I’m sitting in my living room looking at the robin’s nest out the window. One of the baby robins (now looking somewhat grown up) is standing on the board beside the nest, taking in his surroundings, and periodically flapping his wings. I keep holding my breath waiting for it to jump. When it does, what are the chances it’ll plummet to its death?

If the odds are too high, I’m going to stop watching!

Small animals, esp. birds, can survive many falls.
