OK, how do I do this? I have a sick Betta (fish) with fin rot. Poor baby! :-((((( I’m very sad.
I’ve been treating him with Bettafix, with no perceivable results or success.
Anybody have better ideas? All suggestions welcome.
I think you can put a little salt-water salt in your water.
Also, bettas come from very hot and humid climates, you need to make sure the water is warm enough, 80-85?

Firstly, do a complete water change and make sure that you scrub down all of his plants/decorations well. Until he heals up, keep his water very clean or the infection will get worse. If you don’t have one, buy a small heater and set it at 75-78. I’ve heard that adding a little salt can help with healing, but if the fish is really in bad shape, you might need to add either anti-fungal or antibiotic medication. Sometimes fungus looks like a faint “fuzz” in the tank or on the betta or long strands.
