flash programming

hey all,

are there any good free (emphasis on “FREE”) flash animation tutorials out there? I have a thing from barnes and noble for free classes, but you have to buy a pricey book.

and i am damn cheap.

thanks in advance,

jb

You can try this.

Have you gone through the tutorials included with Flash? They’re excellent. Also, take a look at all the sample movies - you can do a lot of reverse engineering to meet your needs.

Probably one of the best resources out there. It has everything from basic tweening and simple buttons to collision detection, pseudo 3D engines, and high level ActionScript. Plus there are various messsage boards where you can get help depending on your degree of skill.

Ohh, THAT flash… I have no idea…

Knowing JavaScript will help you get the hang of the flashscript/actionscript/whatever they call it.

I gotta say that I started on a cracked copy of Flash 4 to try it, learned just about everything I needed to begin in their tutorials, and decided to buy the damn program (if I like software I will buy it!).

Is there something in particular that is troubling you? Those built-in tutorials were a huge help for me.
