Hershey PA is in mourning.
I can’t remember the name of the show now, it may have been a one-off special of some sort. It aired sometime in the early 80’s I think. Anyway, I remember it featured a variety of celebrities doing small skits and she did a satire of her Wesson Oil Lady role, really vamping it up and producing a plate of brownies? cookies? something like that and presenting the “whole plate of goodies” to some stud or other in the audience, doing the vampy cougar [del]walk[/del] slink and everything while a voice over played of what she was thinking at the time. For me, that was when I learned…well, I was 12 or 13 at the time, you can probably figure that out:o.
she had a cooking show back when tnn/CMT was new… and they had Williams and ree (aka the white guy and the indian)doing the deserts and they all made a running joke of how it was all cooked before the show started because they’d make something ot be baked show how to mix it up and then pull it out fully baked
ree would say something like see the Indians know how to get baked too too or something funny that wouldn’t be pc today from off stage …
