Nothing like a fresh new case to inspire an attorney. Maybe this can start a trend? Better yet invite the attorney to the scene first and then shoot the neighbor. Saves a lot of time explaining what happened.

Florida detectives are investigating the case of a man who drove to his lawyer’s office with a dead body in the bed of his pickup truck, authorities said on Thursday.
John Marshall, 52, said he shot his neighbor in self-defense during a scuffle involving a gun, his attorney, Robert Harris, told the Fort Myers News-Press and WINK-TV.
How did he drive with broken thumbs ?
And since the police didn’t arrest him, obviously it’s legal to disturb the evidence and transport one’s victim like a dead deer in the USA.
Or maybe only in Florida.
You don’t need thumbs to drive, only a middle finger…
And on the same page I see another Floridan gentleman rang 911 to invite the police over for target practice.
Disturbing a crime scene is pretty dumb. Especially if you hope to claim self defense.
But this is Florida, I’ve read quite a few kooky crime stories. Must be all that salt water.
The lawyer has commented.
Lawyer Robert Harris says John Marshall, 52, arrived around 4pm with a missing tooth, a puffed-up lip, and “what looked like two broken thumbs,” per the Florida News-Press; Marshall told Harris he had killed Ted Hubbell in self-defense after grabbing a gun away from him during a fight. “It’s the cleanest-cut case of self-defense I’ve ever seen,” Harris tells the newspaper. Marshall chose Harris as his confidante because he wasn’t sure if he could trust anyone else, the News-Press adds. “They don’t teach you about this in law school, that’s for sure,” Harris says.
local news coverage, Should the attorney be giving out these details?
FORT MYERS, Fla. – 8:44 AM Thursday Update: WINK spoke with Robert Harris Thursday morning. He said his client was treated and released from the hospital for his injuries. He says his client, John Marshall, is not in custody. He says all evidence...

Harris says Marshall cooperated with police from the beginning. Around 9 p.m. Wednesday night, they took Marshall’s clothes his DNA and checked for gunshot residue.
“The guy had threatened him in the past and then came out and ostensibly said he was sorry for threatening him in the past, and pulled a gun on him and pistol-whipped him,” said Harris.
According to Harris, while Marshall and his neighbor wrestled for the gun, he shot and killed the man. Marshall then drove all the way to Harris’ office in downtown Fort Myers, 26 miles away, with the body of his neighbor covered in the back of his pickup truck.

I live in Florida, only the REAL crazy shit gets reported.
All I wanted was some frickin’ sharks with some frickin’ laser beams on their heads, throw me a bone here, people.
In the box of the truck, covered up?
Pshaw. Real men put the body on the hood of the car, with a rifle in the gun rack in the rear window. Maybe put a wildlife tag on the ear, to avoid any run-ins with Fish & Game officers.

Only if they are (insert the name of your favorite ethnic group here).
(I like those old jokes too)
The lawyers office is a few blocks from mine. My boss was personally inconvenienced by this as all the cops blocked his way out of his condo.
