Yes, that is true, Reform Jews recognize patrilineal descent, as long as the child is raised to identify as Jewish, so I was incorrect. I’m not sure how they feel about children of Jewish mothers who aren’t raised as Jews.

We generally don’t consider them to be Jews. But if one showed up and said, “i identify as Jewish”, we’d probably accept that. We’d probably also recommend our adult education program, to help them understand what it means to be Jewish.
