You describe a natural impulse. One would hope that as a moderator you would not let it end there; that you would make a good faith effort to reason your way through that natural impulse. A judge may not like a defendant, and personally want to string him up. But a judge must put those feelings aside and determine the outcome of a case based on an objective examination of the evidence. Claiming that you have human impulses to pre-judge a Doper’s input based on your like or dislike of that Doper certainly makes you human, but it’s still not right.
