Not me. I don’t even like flying in an airplane.
The problem with going to mars is I have a feeling that’ll be a one way trip where everyone will be required to be vegan.
Where do I sign up? My children will be adults soon enough. I never planned on growing old, drooling in a nursing home, not remembering who I am or my wife is. Like my grandparents.
I will not ask about your religion, but will note that this attitude, to me, reeks of Christianity’s worst trait: We know better than you what is good for you.
Now: if I own the Grand Canyon can I remove the rails? And still charge admission?
Two billionaires want to jump in a (nice) tin can and go to the moon.
Just how is this a threat to you? Do you suppose that we will have to pick up the hospital bill for them if the can explodes?
That is the usual argument for requiring helmets. I don’t see how things outside of Earth’s gravity could affect you.
And the folks who can afford this trip are not likely to become wards of the State, are they?
And; what is your attitude on nuclear bombs? They will eventually get used. They are not the first doomsday device and won’t be the last.
Should they have never been “allowed”?

They are the first one to actually work as advertised on the tin for 7 decades.
And they’d be the last for a good long while if Worst Case Scenario happens.

I wouldn’t be the first to volunteer, maybe the hundredth? Space X has a good track record, but I agree that their objective to do this by 2018 seems like they are overreaching a little. Once they actually send an unmanned craft in orbit around the Moon, I’ll pay more attention.
Really Billionaires are far more valuable and have for more impact on society that you or I do.
I’d still take the opportunity. Like I said, single with no dependents; I’m of little value to anyone so if I didn’t make it back, NBD.
