I’ve been dying to get in on the first batch of Raspberry Pis. They had on their website that there would be a big announcement this morning (Wednesday the 29th) at 0600GMT (midnight last night in my time zone.) I was sure that it meant they were going to start taking orders, and by golly I was going to check in at 0600GMT to get my order in.
Well, we had thunderstorms yesterday evening, and just before 0400GMT (10:00 PM here) power went out for the entire county and stayed out for 16 hours.
Sure enough they started taking orders and were sold out long before our power was back on. All I could do was put my name on the mailing list for the next batch.
