I don’t buy many DVDs, and I’d certainly never considered buying a movie I hadn’t even seen yet, but since Memento is the current front-runner for my favorite movie, and I enjoyed Insomnia a great deal, I thought I’d just go for it and pick up Christopher Nolan’s first film, Following.
It’s about a lonely 20-something wannabe writer who fills his ample free time by following people around the streets of London, content just to see where they’re going. When one of his subjects confronts him about it, the pair embark on a twisted ride into a world of burglary. where it isn’t the money they’re after, it’s the violation into their victims’ lives.
I loved this movie. I’ll post more about it when I have a few minutes - but I thought there should be at least one post about it on the boards (couldn’t find one in the ol’ search).
