Any body know how to standardize the font size on Firefox on an android? Reading through any thread on my phone has posts in fonts all over the place, some obnoxiously huge, some unreadable tiny, and really gets annoying with zoom in and outs. My PC is fine on Firefox, and my phone’s build in browser doesn’t do it(although it does other stupid things which is why I switched to FF)
wolfman, that may have been partly my fault; I’ve been making some really screwed-up posts lately. (Hopefully this won’t be another). I think I fixed my issue, maybe it fixes yours too!
Sorry, ignore me, I think I’m to blame for your issue!
No, it’s not anybody in particular. It’s every thread with more than 3 posters. There a a bunch of people who are Huge, a bunch who are big, a bunch who are medium, a bunch who are small, and a bunch who are tiny. It seems about evenly distributed.
Posts with quote boxes seem to switch uniformly to a very small font.
If I’m understanding you correctly, it’s a feature called Font Boosting. Very annoying. I’ve searched high and low on how to turn it off but have not succeeded.
I recommend switching to an Opera browser, like Opera Mobile Classic, which tends to render SDMB perfectly, IME. You can still keep using FF for everything else and have Opera be like your dedicated Dope browser, but you may just find that you prefer Opera elsewhere. It’s relatively lightweight - shit, compared to FF and Chrome, it’s practically nonexistent!
Posted from my Android phone using Opera Mobile Classic.
PS: In the settings, just turn off Opera Turbo.
Thank you very much, it sounds very much like my problem. Now I have a name for the disease, even if not a cure yet.
