I was checking my food stamp benefits today and found a nice little surprise. Thanks to federal government assistance with the Covid-19 pandemic, I received the max benefit for my state, $200. And should get the same amount in May. Is anyone else getting an increase in their SNAP benefits?
Same here in NH. Both me and my mom got an increase to maximum benefit. I wasn’t even aware they were going to do that until I checked the balance on my card and noticed it was around $200. I called someone to check if it was right and they told me they temporarily increased our food stamp benefit. We both live off Social Security and live in subsidized housing so we are used managing our money pretty tightly. So between the food stamp increase and the stimulus payments we are going to be fine.
