Make your own. Seriously, it isn’t at all difficult, especially if you have good water to start with.
How the hell am I supposed to make my own lime? I live in Michigan - it’s not like the damn things just grow on trees!
True Lime:
They make it in several flavors, lime, lemon, grapefruit, orange. Little packets of crystallized essence that sprinkle on or in. Grocery stores carry it.
I suggest you do a web search on “indoor lime trees”.
The accepted way is get some pots, compost, fertiliser, maybe some grow lights if you don’t have enough windowsills, and a small tree. In about 5 years- if you’re lucky, and the plant doesn’t randomly die, drop all the flowers, abort the fruit or get eaten by caterpillars- you may get a single feeble undersized lime that’s mostly peel and tastes a bit bitter that you can then smugly tell everyone you got for free as it’s home grown.
The limes I buy at the grocery store are pretty pathetic. The size of a golf ball and just a few drops of juice. The limes we get at the grocery store in St Martin are the size of small oranges and are very juicy.
Oops, I was actually replying to @Morgyn about the distilled water. Sorry about that.
Ah-hah-hah thats what we do 'round here.
Here’s my next WIP (work in progress) I am so excited about the rainbow spiral.
I might just keep/frame it for myself.
