Foot injury - advice? {It’s a blood clot}

Mine aren’t that tight though I have pairs that are. Per my doc, I don’t need that intense a level of compression, yet. Sorry, I didn’t realize what level compression you were using.

30-40, which I guess is quite strong

Very. No wonder you are having difficulty. I’m afraid I can’t help you further. Hang in there.

The first time I had a compression sock - after a sprained ankle - the one they gave me came with something like that. It really helped.

I just got the bill for my 1 night in the hospital: $27011.48.

OOP is $948.52

America the beautiful my ass.

Beautiful if you are a hospital company or health insurance investor or executive.

The rest of us live to serve these “job creators”

And December 31 at 11:59 pm, our OOP’s reset to zero. But at least we’re not socialists!

NP who ordered me to ER (I came in to my regular checkup breathless, dizzy and coughing blood [well, it was brown, looked like blood, and I was diagnosed with pulmonary emboli later that morning] ) wanted to call me an ambulance. I insisted on driving myself to ER (it was literally 3 stoplights away), or probably the bill would have been $150k.

Yay, my just now deductible reset! Happy 2023 everyone!

Seriously, thanks very much to everyone who contributed to thread for your support, and I hope you all have a great year.

Happy New Year! :champagne: :clinking_glasses:

How ya doin’?

Happy New Year, ThelmaLou!

I’m doing okay - clot news is no news. I’ve been wearing the 20-30 compression socks and actually traveled overseas this past month. Waiting to hear back about the cancer

I hope you are doing well!

So far so good. But the year is young. :+1:

Keep us posted.

3 month PSA test came back with essentially the same number as last time. I’m going to discuss with my NP tomorrow, will update my prostate cancer thread if there’s anything interesting.

No change is pretty good news, right?

Well, mixed. There was some hope it was a false positive. That’s over - my cancer is back, we just don’t know if it’s angry. Proviso - let’s see what NP thinks tomorrow, but that’s my understanding. No PSA = no cancer. I have PSA.

Ah, I see. Well, rats.

Well crap. I have a DVT in the other leg

Yikes! You can’t win, can you?

Take care of yourself.

Ouch. Best wishes.
