For Better or For Worse: Kortney! (spoiler)

And then she can pick up Mr. Dithers and beat Dagwood to death with him.

Riley “Escobar” Freeman sez: “Yeah, okay… but the bitch better not bring her Canuck ass on Buckshot Avenue.”

No, if Elly has any sense of justice she’ll head straight to Mary Worth’s apartment complex and set up as a sniper and clear some space on the comic pages for something where the plot actually progresses. And then when Judge Parker shows up to investigate…it’ll make KillBill look like child’s play.

This thread has taken a turn for the better, and yet I feel that we’re all going to wind up in hell…

Sorry to interrupt everyone’s happy little killing spree, but in today’s strip, we find that Kortney was in fact directly involved in the theft a few months back.

2 points to EddyTeddyFreddy for calling it (sorta) in that old Pit thread.

After she clears out some space maybe she could troop over to Bill Watterson’s house and hold the gun to his head till he starts drawing Calvin & Hobbes again.

Sorry? SORRY? Menocchio, don’t apologize for making me laugh hysterically this morning! Be proud of your timely Doonesbury joke!

I predict that after Elly wipes out the Family Circus kids, Cathy, B.D.'s hopes of ever walking again, and Mary Worth, she’ll head on over to Funky Winkerbean and give them something to really angst about!

Then it’s off to Luann…

Already done.
Here.

The good intentioned, but badly misinformed denizens of The Far Side will try to stop Elly by staging suicide attacks…meaning that they’ll just run up to her en masse, and chug down bottles of cyanide, perhaps with the vague rationalization that they’ll somehow clog her path with their dead.

But, of course, their bodies will be quickly consumed by pythons, ravens, and a portly fellow named “Irwin.”

Oooh! I was just thinking about that toy train robbery last night, and wondering if it would turn out that Kortney had something to do with it. I am not surprised that she did–ye gods, she’d probably been bleeding from the shop since she started working there. I hope that Elly doesn’t sweep this under the rug; hopefully Lynn Johnston will have her deal with it realistically. I just wonder that the police hadn’t told her what they’d uncovered about the Kort! Now for me, I’m starting to think that the Kort is headed up the River. However she -may- try to create some chaos before she goes there.

I feel a bit cheated that we didn’t get to see the firing. I think that Lynn was uncomfortable writing this storyline, and she’s copping out on us.

Beetle Bailey’s unit will be called in to restore order.

HAH! Those sniveling brats can not be destroyed. In fact, they are four of the survivors from Village of the Damned who escaped to America. If Elly tries to drive over there, they’ll simply stare at her car until they force her to drive off a cliff.

Askia:

He need not worry; Aaron Magruder hasn’t done a non-talking-heads strip in months (maybe even years?).

All goes well until the Sarge loses a leg.

Elly’s murderous impulses may be just the thing to get Bucky and Fungo on the same side, for once. Although which side is quite another question.

Ironically, this was only because Bailey was trying to shoot off his own foot.
