For Dopers who were kids in the 70s/early 80s: your Saturday morning dreamteam?

Nope. Far Out Space Nuts was a Krofft production. That Ghost Busters was Filmation.

Thanks, they were both so bad, I thought it must be the same team. There were one or two other awful live actions that were similar to these two, but I can’t remember them any more. They were actually worse.
I saw “Lidsville” mentioned and of course “H.R. Pufnstuf” that even had clips on multiple episodes of “My Name is Earl” but does anyone remember the awful “The Bugaloos”?

Damn I see **Greg Charles **mentioned that awful piece of dreck.

Are there any sites that show an archive of the Saturday morning line ups?

Heretic! The Krofft shows were NOT awful! They were a whole different kind of AWESOME!

Hey, I liked “H.R. Pufnstuf” and I loved “Land of the Lost”

Wiki to the rescue, this should be fun.

Dayum, is there anything not on Wikipedia? That’s so cool!

I have seen a few shows where the description triggered a few memories of shows I forgot I had ever seen.

I found one of the live actions I was looking for “The Lost Saucer” with 60s alums Jim Nabors & Ruth Buzzi

It was actually worse than *Ghostbusters *and Far Out Space Nuts. This one was Kroft.

Uncle Croc’s Blockwith Charles Nelson Reilly & Jonathan Harris.

It had really bad spoofs of Mash and some other silly cartoons. It died a quick and merciful death.

Checking Wikipedia, I was surprised to see that many of my favorites were actually in the mid- to late- 80s: G.I. Joe, Count Duckula, Beverly Hills Teens (yes, I’m ashamed), The Real Ghostbusters, The Mysterious Cities of Gold, Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea, The Pirates of Dark Water (early 90s, but I can’t bear to leave it out), Bionic Six, Defenders of the Earth, Dinosaucers

Anyway, earlier favorites I haven’t seen mentioned yet:
Mr. T
Turbo Teen

That one was actually pretty darned good.

That one wasn’t.

I don’t think we had that in the States, but we did have The Groovy Ghoulies! One of my favorite shows EVER that is never shown anywhere. But according to the link, it’s now out on DVD!

Agreed!

With Ruth Buzzi! Comedy gold!

darn, on edit I see that What Exit? beat me to the Ruth Buzzi fact, story of my life.

You know, I’ve asked people I grew up with and people my age if they remembered **Korg **and NO ONE DID! Thank you for mentioning it. I thought maybe it was all in my imagination for awhile.
