For Love or Money?

I was wondering what opinions are about :

-working in a job you hate just so you can earn money to do the things you love in your spare time OR

-working in a job you love, which pays badly and gives you no spare time

What’s better?

I would take a job I love for less money anyday.

I am a licensed insurance agent. I have no idea how I happened to end up with this career.

If I had my way I would:

Buy a dairy farm
Get up each morning at 4am to milk the cows.
Do chores all day long
Stumble into bed at night physically tired (not mentally tired), I believe there is a big difference.

I would not make near as much money but in no way does money buy the things that are important to me.

Money, since I don’t think I could find a job I loved anyway.

Money is good, but if you hate your job, you’re going to find any reason not to go in, eventually overextending your privilages, then getting fired. Then you’ll be bitter, angry, unemployed and broke. So, having a job you love but pays a little less than you’d like is the best bit. As long as you can earn a living, you’re well off.

I currently have two jobs: One I hate, which pays alright, and one I love, which pays more. I haven’t been into work at my shit job in about three weeks so I could pull super-mega-ultra overtime at my love job. I’ve been exhausted, but I still find time to do fun things, and this next paycheck is going to be a fatty. Of course, fashioning myself on four hours of sleep a day helps free up some time here and there…
