For the fans of Viggo Mortensen

Just to ask, what was the alternate ending that I understand was on the DVD? I assume/speculate that it featured Douglas’ character not going berserk, and Paltrow’s character not finding the tape, but merely suspecting. She shoots him in cold blood anyway. The very last sequence would be the same, making the detective’s assurance to her that she had “no choice” ironic.

Am I right?

I rented Vanishing Point a couple of months ago, only to discover what I’d grabbed was a made-for-tv remake starring Viggo and co-starring Jason Priestley. Man, that was painful.

The more I watch the earlier works of almost everyone involved (including Peter Jackson), the more amazed I am at how beautifully it all came together. And even more amazed that the studio was willing to risk so much on it.

Viggo can also be seen in the Jane Campion version of Portrait of a Lady as Isabel’s solid American suitor, Caspar Goodwood.

If you’ve ever wanted to see him in a fantasy 4-way sequence with Nicole Kidman, Richard E. Grant, and some other guy, this is your chance.

Oooh, he was way hot in The Passion of Darkly Noon , too, and Brandon Fraser was equally tasty.

IIRC it wasn’t him it was that retired Ballet dancer, I forgot his name he’s dead now, who was also in the first Die Hard Movie as a bad guy

“have you ever found yourself cheering for the bad guy?”

Has anyone seen The Usual Suspects?

No… Viggo doesn’t appear in this movie.

Well, imagine the usual suspects if, in the last scene, the cop had chased Keyzer Soze, tackled him down and arrested him. Thats why I hate a perfect murder.

aaarrrrrgggghhhhh

THWACK!

So…is “Viggo” a common boy’s name in Denmark? Just askin.’

I’m surprised no one has brought up his appearance in Psycho yet.

Viggo Mortensen actually painted the large murals in his artist’s studio in the film ‘A Perfect Murder’.
