As I’ve said many times I am the type of person who want’s to get his thoughts/post out in the open as quickly as possible. This means I don’t spend too much time editing. I’ve just discovered that when I am forced to edit I can make a muuuch better post. And that I seem to be good at this editing lark.
How I was forced to edit: I had typed out a post in notepad for an old thread. I had to wait for the search to find the thread. and so had time to edit the post. I ended up making a lot of changes/additions and in doing so improved the articulation of the post greatly. My abilities are a victim of my impulsive traits.
Maybe having to wait for the message board is a good thing. Not only does it allow you time to edit but it increases the chances of afterthoughts making it into the same post (such as this paragraph). Mind you, I suppose it’s the same for most of us. We are probably all better editors than we are authors.
