ford help

my 2007 ford ranger loses power to the transmission and overheats when i try to use the air conditioner. it runs fine otherwise anyone tell me why?

The A/C system dumps heat in front of the radiator. If some aspect of the cooling system is marginal, that could be enough to induce overheating. There are several possibilities here, it’s going to take testing of the vehicle to sort them out.

What do you mean by “loses power to the transmission?” What exactly is the symptom you observe?

What happened to your shift key? Posts sure are easier to read with capital letters in the right places.

Doesn’t the shift key have something to do with the transmission?

Yes, please post a more detailed description of the problem. Auto or manual transmission? 4cylinder or 6cylinder engine? Are you the original owner? Is this the first time this has happened? How long has this been happening? Are there any unusual or unexpected noises that you can hear when you run the a/c? Are there any other issues with the power train that you think are not related? Be prepared to take the truck to a live mechanic as a guess from what little you’ve told us so far.
