Hell, F.W. Demara faked up several identities in the 40s and 50s, as did Frank Abagnale in the 60s. With modern knowhow I believe I could get over.
More in the spirit of the OP, if I just wanted to have a quiet, normal life, I guess I’d try to find some kind of boring clerical work like I do now, only without computers. Then I’d find a girl and see what common modern sexual practices are considered positively degenerate in 1957.
