Fork Hillary 3: The Final Forking

Anyone know when the RBC is meeting?

I know it is tomorrow, but what time? Any idea when we might hear news of a decision?

It’s at 9:30 AM EDT.

I think Obama should ask for an offer from the Clintonistas. Presumably, they won’t have the chutzpah to demand *all *the votes, they will make an inflated presumption. BUT…it will be their problem to figure out how much is almost too much, without being too much, without making the delegates and supers puke from the sheer gall of it.

Her offer will be unfair, but it won’t be enough anyway, so he should say “Sure, sweetie, take 'em.” If she starts crowing about how much that inflates her “popular vote”, well, everyone’s gonna know there an asterisk there for the steroids.

He should ask for her offer, it will be unfair, but if he takes it, he still wins and she has nothing to bitch about.

Thanks, I was looking and I couldn’t find anything.

You misunderstimate Clinton’s chutzpah.

Bah! The RBC has a lot of hard liners who do not want to give anyone anything for fear it will open the door for future campaigns to get through a loophole. At best, it’ll be half votes and/or 50% sat.

Your probably right, but it’s evident that Clinton won’t hesitate to to be almost comically self-serving in her interpretation of voter rights… and despite repeated claims that the DNC won’t let her shred the party in her Quixotic attempt to wrest the nomination away from Obama, they haven’t seemed to stop her.

I actually kind of agree with the article above about Obama just letting the baby have her bottle. What can she cry about next, if Mich and Fla are basically conceded to her? The Clinton camp has had nothing to run on for months except how outraged they are that she doesn’t get any respect. Giving her two bonus states would rob her of message… it’s like letting a team score a single run to turn a double play when you’re ahead by 6 or 7 runs in the 9th inning. Just get the outs and end the game.

She’s not conceding because it’s not the end yet. Obama is not going to allow something unfair to happen, neither is the RBC. The FL and MI votes won’t be sat as is, or I’d very surprised if they were. Because if they are sat as is, that means in future elections other candidates can use the same complaint to get what they want and the system will continue to be flawed. This system needed to be fixed a long time ago. The simple plain fact is both candidates agreed back in January not to campaign and that the votes were not going to count. That’s a fact that can not be over looked by the committee, and it most likely won’t be overlooked. Clinton can’t get around it by shouting that every voter needs to be heard. She’s trying to wrench the nomination away from the winner. Not going to happen.

I’d go with Ahabian, as in Captain Ahab relentlessly pursuing Moby-Dick (“Gimme my leg back, you damn’d varmint!”).

CNN, CSPAN, and MSNBC are going to be covering this, possibly all day until there’s a decision. Hopefully this isn’t like when ESPN started televising the NFL Draft, as I don’t really want to see this every four years. Plus, I have a bad habit of watching all of Day One of the draft and not getting anything else done that Saturday.

The polling for these last 3 primaries is almost non-existant. Talk about not mattering! There has been only one recent poll-- Mason Dixon of Montana showing Obama ahead by 14-- with 13% undecided.

Hey, you know how they should do the primaries? The states with the least EV go first. That way everyone can feel like part of the process.

A few years ago, we had a thread here about who was the most irrational, venomous Clinton-hater in the media. Peggy Noonan was the solid, nearly-unanimous winner. Ann Coulter was discounted for probably putting on an act, but for Noonan it sure looks real.

My personal favorite example, when the haters wanted to see Elian Gonzalez separated from his only surviving parent in the cause of anti-Castroism.

If you find yourself agreeing with such a person, does that turn on any caution lights for you? Does the spread of that poisonous, unreasoned hatred to the *Democratic * activist base worry you?

I’m just hoping we can vaccinate the party against Hillarism, which presents in symptoms like loss of logical skills, shameless dishonesty, and sociopathic confusion of self-interest with justice.

A fine example right there.

You misspelled “here.”

When exactly do you plan on supporting Obama and stop throwing hand-grenades? When Hillary concedes? Your attempts to paint all of the anti-Hillary supporters here are really getting tiresome Elvis. I know what you’re doing. You think you’re the lone soldier in the fight against ignorance. I understand that.

But look, it’s getting old. If you’re going to argue for Clinton’s case, please stop it with the ad hominems. It really pisses me off to see you doing this because it is so disrespectful to the other people here.

You have to stop casting all of these people who are against Hillary as not worthy of debate, because it is annoying the hell out of everyone here. Quit these bad-faith debate tactics and start addressing people respectfully once and for all. It’s one thing to trash Obama or Hillary, but to show open contempt for everyone here doesn’t do you any favors. I’ve seen your participation in other threads, and I’ve gotten to realize that you don’t seem to behave like this normally.

Not a bit. Apparently it does for you. Guilt by association?

No. You’ll have to do more to show that it has spread to the base than an article about Hillary dropping out of the race to convince me that it has spread.

What, to you, is “supporting Obama”? Spreading the same kind of childish, hateful shit that you do? Ain’t gonna happen, friend. If, IF (which it is by now) I do so it will be *despite * the divisive hatred of so many of his vocal supporters.

If the parallels of your behavior to that of the most vicious Clinton-haters of the last administration struck a nerve with you, then it’s a nerve that probably needed to be struck.

Who said “all”? Not me. If you can’t put an argument together without ;such an elementary strawman, then don’t bother. As for *Noonan * not saying anything worthy of debate, she’s made that case very amply for herself over the years. If you’re not familiar with her anyway, that isn’t *her * problem, *or * mine.

Show us all how.

Again, very disrespectful of me and everyone else here. I won’t stoop to your rhetoric and let your comments speak for themselves.
