Fork Hillary 3: The Final Forking

She is too tenacious to keep under control. If she doesn’t cool down, the Democratic Party should put her down hard. If she wants any high position in the Obama White House, she needs to show that she is willing to be a team player. Everything she has done so far has conveyed the opposite message.

The sad thing is that most of the divisiveness between the two candidates comes from Barack’s funny name and skin color. There is also the inexperience and feminist factor, but that doesn’t prevent one from voting for Obama over McCain unless one is a really bitter feminist.

Obama’s biggest challenge will be to get the uneducated (hard working) white voters. It’s time to see how smart the American public really is.

God I hope not. She has no diplomatic skills. She is all about ME ME ME and FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT.

Somehow, I think she isn’t going to like my advice.

One thought I had while watching the crowd during Hillary’s acceptance speech last night: “And they say **Obama ** supporters are the ones that are cult-like?”

I was also trying to guess which ones were ElvisL1ves and DrDeth.

This transcends race - this is truly about the opportunity for what America can be. If we can show the world we can evolve - the USA I know and love will be a superpower again, with a renewed sense of patriotism and pride in our stars and stripes.

Hillary as VP ? I hope not

But which is this: an implied threat to attempt to take down the party if she is not offered VP; or a shameless ploy to get some contributions to help pay down her debt before she acknowledges what has occurred?

What it isn’t is an action that puts party and country above selfish desires. But we all know that.

She said it twice.

What a glorious night it was!!!

This may be the beginning of the demands. Apparently, Obama must become more of a feminist, stop being ageist, and pay sufficient homage to Bill Clinton’s presidency.

It should not have any bearing on political decisions. And Og knows our own country has voted in our share of dysfunctional marriages, but out of the last three candidates remaining Obama seemed to have the most genuine marriage. They actually seem to love each other deeply.

It’s nice to see that marriages can last. Gives us* hope, it does.
*Us people in committed relationships.

In short, it’s the HillBilly syndrome.

Is that political or personal? Isn’t that a bit like the Clinton supporters saying they won’t vote for Obama? The VP has little real power {Puppet master Cheny being the exception} I’d like to see the two camps united in that way. Hillary supporters can vote for Obama and still feel they’re supporting her. Still, I’m just cynical enough to not trust the Clintons lust for power at all. The VP is only one step away. Give it a week or two and hopefully we’ll be talking issues rather than just personalities. Hillary can fight for America and all the things she mentioned just as effectively from the Senate as she can anywhere else.

Last night’s speech by Clinton verged on Frightening. This morning on GMA- pundits were sort of aghast at her speech. Held in a basement - no reception for phones or any other transmittal devices. But the world was watching Hillary. We all saw you say what you did.

Sad, Sad, Sad. I’m really amazed people do not see her dilusions.

I think the difference is, the Obama campaign has been about saying goodbye to the politics of the past. And that includes teaming up with someone who has never had a consistent message, has used the divisive politics of Karl Rove, and is now holding her breath until she gets what she wants. If Obama picks Clinton as his running mate, then he is not the candidate he has been saying he is for the past 16 months. I will still vote for him, but my enthusiasm drops back to Kerry/Edwards levels. Plus, I will pull my $25/month automatic donation (not crippling, I know).

People don’t vote for vice-presidents. If she wants to help the Democrats win, nothing is stopping her except her own ego.

All politics for me. As someone mentioned above, Republicans will crawl over their dying mothers to vote against Clinton. By picking her as VP Obama would piss off a number of his supporters and mobilize the opposition.

The little fist-bump and thumbs-up thing they did was adorable.

I tried to get into the rally, but the lines went from ridiculous to unbelievale. More than 20 minutes of walking didn’t even get us to the end of the line, and the end of the line was many, many blocks away. Wish I could have been there in person, but we headed home and watched it there. Very exciting night!

You’re assuming that the minions taking the comments will pass along anything that doesn’t urge her onward to victory.

Exactly my reaction. I don’t get all misty and stuff usually, but the look she gave him when they did that really got to me. It was a purely private moment in the middle of all those screaming people. I just fell in love with her right then and there.

For me it’s personal AND political. See my comment above about how Hillary on the ticket would get out a massive vote for McCain.
