*"The latest Gallup daily tracking poll suggests Democratic voters are beginning to coalesce around Obama.
He holds a 16-point lead over Clinton in Gallup’s daily tracking poll released Monday. He has the support of 55 percent of Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters, while Clinton’s support is at 39 percent.
Previously, Obama’s largest lead over Clinton was 11 percentage points, in daily tracking polls conducted in mid-May and mid-April, according to Gallup."*
Even if they rule completely in her favor, and don’t give him any of Michigan’s uncommitted (read: delegates that would have gone to Obama or Edwards), she’d still be behind by 80 delegates at this point, according to DCW. Using very round numbers, this means he’d need around 200 more delegates, while she’d need around 300. Given the recent trend of superdelegate endorsements, and assuming a 50/50 split of the remaining pledged delegates, I can’t envision a scenario where she gets supers declaring at her at a rate of 2:1. So, yes, I think your hypothetical is really that far fetched.
Yeah, but Obama’s got Warren Buffet.
In another development, the Clinton campaign has announced that three out of four wanted war criminals think she’d make the better President.
Hi Ono! Trip was awesome! Denmark is absolutely beautiful this time of year, and it was lovely to visit with our family over there. They’re such wonderful people and we had a really great time. Thanks for asking!
The bossman hasn’t yet started fully supporting Obama, but he’s been calling for Hillary to quit the race for weeks (if not months) and won’t do anything further to help her campaign. He’s completely backed out of it. And once Obama is officially the nominee, I know he will support him completely. He’s a staunch Democrat afterall, and I’m confident he’ll do whatever it takes to get a Democrat into the White House, regardless of who it is.
Hush! Using phrases like “presumptive nominee Obama” will unleash the wrath of Hillary on us all!
Don’t forget that the race is far from over. If Hillary starts tracking and whacking Obama superdelegates at a rate of 5 delegates per day this will reverse the trend and discourage further supers thinking of endorsing him which should give her an edge once Florida and Michigan votes are included.
