Forumid=14 ?

I’ve noticed that all of the forums have urls which end with forumid=#, were # is some number. Numbers 1 through 13 are for the usual forums, and numbers 15 and higher bring up error pages saying that no such forum exists. forumid=14, however, brings you to a page asking for your user id and password. What is this mysterious Forum 14?

{{{Accckkkk!}}} Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!

That leads to the magical fairyland where the Mods and Admins sit around on giant floating flowers, eating lotus leaves and chocolate, laughing and singing and dancing about naked. Midgets prance around happily, birds sing all day long, and many a large-breasted lady jiggles about merrily. The sun shines all day long, a smell of pot-roast and spam permeates the air, and sex is widely available should one want it. It is a land where all are happy, trolls and socks do not exist, and the IPU reigns supreme.

It’s the entrance to the magical land of Narnia, I believe. Or is that my closet?

Okay Tyrrell I will actually answer this question for you. That is the page you get if you aren’t logged in. For example, if you are using a public computer and try to post, that page will pop up and you can sign in there. I hope this helps you out.

Might I add that you are the only person I know wo would a.) notice something like that and b.) test all the numbers to see where they would go. What the heck, I think your cool anyways.

Being enough of a procrastinator that I felt the need to check this, I’ve discovered the archive boards. There are several of them, mostly the same (try forumid=10 for an example). While the “fun with HTML” thread looks useful (if slightly outdated), I don’t understand why these fora exist and why the very very old threads that are there were chosen.

The Archives were an idea that was abandoned. Most likely, number 14 is where the mods can try some stuff out, post information for each other, and perhaps even collaborate on Staff Reports. As with the edit/delete option, if you aren’t cookied as a mod/admin (and perhaps even if you are, I’ve never had that privilege) you get asked to log in to enter.
