Fottball Saturation: Or Seriously, What the Fuck?

…and the smell of the basketballs…

At least while there is football we don’t hear as much about the interminably boring baseball (Pitchers and catchers report when? the season is 9 months loing and then there is the hot stove league) and the absolutely unwatchable NBA.

MORE FOOTBALL!!!

Ha! This drives me nuts, too.

Try working weekends across the street from the Horseshoe and then talk to me about football saturation. I’m so glad I don’t do that anymore.

Thank you for this thread. Im super fuckin pissed because at work people get to wear jeans today if they wore their Buckeye jerseys!! WHOOHOO GO BUCKEYES!

Stop it. Its college. And we’re not even IN Columbus for the love of Mike!

I don’t own a Buckeye jersey. So no jeans for me. Grrrrrrrrr Could I have bought one, just for today? Yes, I could have. I have the ability to. But that’s not the point, dammit. It seems awfully silly to do so. (Oh and they sent the email notice last Friday at 4:50 pm. So at least I am reveling in the fact that the folks that cut out early on Friday didn’t get to wear their jeans either.)

I am a baseball fan. I love watching or listening to baseball. Dont even know if there is pre- or post-game malarky, cause I switch channels once the game is done. I do not own a jersey from any ball club, I do not discuss player stats with co-workers. I could give a shit about who’s supposed to do better than whom this season. I just like watching a game. I don’t need the hype.

Given that people in Buckeyes jerseys got to wear jeans, I think you have a pretty solid case for wearing a Local Baseball Team (Indians?) Mascots jersey with jeans.

Columbus is more in Reds territory, although they also have a AAA team (The Clippers, I think they’re called. Made more since when they were affiliated with the Yankees I guess).

Lets zero in on the important stuff here. Acid Lamp, who do you like to make it to the Super Bowl from each conference this year?

The LA Rams and the Houston Oilers are my picks.

Finally, somebody in this thread understands what’s important!

Quite right. Too bad they were both eliminated on a technicality. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m going with the St. Louis Cardinals and the Baltimore Colts myself.

"I don’t own a Buckeye jersey. So no jeans for me. Grrrrrrrrr Could I have bought one, just for today? . . . It seems awfully silly to do so. "

Don’t you just hate how they’ve ruined the combo of red and gray? I sometimes find myself almost wearing it, but I just will not.

Why is it incomprehensible to Fuckeyes that the rest of us DO NOT CARE DO NOT CARE DO NOT CARE?

How about the Dayton Triangles and the Toledo Maroons?

Go Triangles!!!

Man, I love some of those old names.

Meanwhile, go Cowboys!

Perhaps you should buy more products from the advertisers on the non-football broadcasting channels. All they care about is the pocketbook.
