Found my story in French

I’ve been searching for years for this: a copy of Fiction, the French version of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction that translated and printed my story “Playmates.” It even has my name on the cover.

I’d found photos, but now I have the issue, which showed up on Ebay in France.

I’m trying to remember my high school French to see how it was changed. One of my favorite lines was translated verbatim; the other uses different words but says the same thing.

Great find, Chuck. Trying to snap up foreign sf mags is like searching for the Fountain of Youth, always on the other side of the hill.

I’ve also been translated into Spanish (illegally. I have the file but it’s 8-bit and I can’t get it to run) and Hebrew (with my permission, but the web page no longer exists).
