Last night I was hearing how a lot of states are settling with banks. The banks give billions of dollars to the states, get broad immunity, and even though they may be pressured to to modify loans, they get to call most of the shots concerning the modifications. cite
I’m not surprised that money can buy you immunity, but I hope that at least Lorraine Brown, and hopefully more people, don’t get off from criminal charges.
It sounds like the banks would get immunity from individual lawsuits. I have to wonder if that’s even legal.
Maybe it’s legal if the states sign on our behalf. 
I wonder if they’ll go after the lawyers who did sign these things without reading them.
I don’t have any cites handy but I don’t think lawyers are signing these things. Supposedly they’ve been hiring unskilled labor to sign the same fake name to document after document after document.
I was talking about the cases where lawyers did sign, without reading what they’ve signed. I am aware of a lawyer who has been doing that for at least 20 years now. I don’t know what the law is here, but I was under the impression the lawyer wasn’t supposed to be just slapping a signature on, but attesting to the validity of the documents.
