Naw…I would have just thought it was funny, especially in light of the fact that, even after some hints that were the equivalent of hitting people on the head with a sledgehammer (and of course, my own modest efforts), folks STILL managed to misconstrue what you were saying.

If it makes the little Fox News guy happier, I’m all for leaving Afghanistan to the US. I see no reason for us to spend blood and treasure for the benefit of a country that has kidnapped and tortured or had tortured at least two Canadian citizens. Not helping the US is the very, very least we should do.
