What was the Boston Public storyline?
I still don’t understand the point of this show. A boy falls down and dies and an entire town goes paranoid and bug-eyed crazy!
There were two that I remember. One involves a 17-year old girl (played by Bianca Kajlich) having a massive crush on her nerdy math teacher. The teacher finds out and they start sneaking off in the middle of the day to have sex. They’re eventually caught and the teacher is fired, the student drops out, and they live together happily ever after.
In the second, a “troubled” girl drops out of school, becomes a stripper, and is found out by one of the teachers visiting said strip club. They start openly dating because she had just turned 18, or something, but they break up because she’s an airhead who didn’t realize that a 40-year old man wouldn’t be interested in typical teenage stuff.
It was an amazingly well-acted and produced show, but I like I said before, it only makes sense if you don’t think about for more than a few minutes.
?? A close-knit, peaceful community in which everyone is related, friends, and/or secret lovers finds a murdered child in their midst, and tensions rise as the killer is saught. That seems like a bog-standard mystery premise to me.
