I know; although this is the first time I’ve seen him play someone who is largely repulsive and unlikeable, LMS was a great dramatic role for him - although comedic too, see for e.g the petrol station/porn scene. Don’t get the surprise that he can do this stuff well.
He was really unlikeable in The Way Way Back. Not creepy murderer unlikeable, just a nasty man.
