Meh. She stood by her man all the way to divorce court, then ran off with Bakker’s version of Albert Speer. (Actually, Roe Messner doesn’t seem to be a particularly bad apple. In fact, if memory serves, he and his first wife were publishers of a local magazine that ran a syndicated column called The Straight Dope. Small world, eh?)
If anyone has done anything pitworthy this past week, it’s Larry King for putting the skeletal waif on national television the day before she died. (It also said something about the size of her ego that she would do such a thing.)
