A friend is considering doing phone consultations as a career. We need to find free or very inexpensive “classified ad” sites to post on. Basically any site that lets you post events, groups, goods and services, including forums and bulletin boards. Yes, Craigslist is already on the list. Personal experiences welcome.

Kijiji is popular in Canada, and has a US based site as well.

Kijiji isn’t bad. Any other suggestions? Especially classified ad sites that aren’t overloaded where ones ad can get lost in the masses?
Anyone have experiences with AdWords or Yellowbook? Are they worth the money?
Gumtree is a ad site developed for ex-pat South Africans in London which has flourished all over the UK and back in SA. It looks like it is now partners with Kijiji in the US, but in searching for that, I found this blog - http://classifiedsreview.blogspot.com/ - which recommends several, perhaps that will help you?
